Here are the updates for this build:

• Added controller support! Players can now use PS4, Xbox, or Switch controllers to play
• Added double jump 
• Added a stopwatch that times the completion time of the level:
  • Can be enabled/disabled in the Pause menu
  • If enabled, players will see their time as they play, on the top left of the screen, and it will be displayed in the win screen.
• Fixed some bugs and implemented minor improvements:
  • Adjusted music volume, which was too loud
  • Added small cooldown in between switching tempo speeds.
  • Fix bug that lets players stomp while on the ground, or change the tempo when on a Win/Lose screen
  • Fix small delay in the Fish Treats rotation animation
• Added Windows and Mac builds!

Obstacles/Challenges:

• Fixing the tempo bugs on the slow down/speed up mechanic.
• As our first post-demo big presentation, another challenge we faced was getting all the new assets and features in place and harmonically working together in the small amount of time. Time management and resource management needs some improvement.

Feedback from the presentation and future changes:

• We got a lot of negative comments about the core mechanic of the game. Including how the environment switches with the music and the slow down/speed up mechanic. It was something that was not too new and made it jut another platformer game with a minimal music element instead of the rhythm-platformer game we wanted it to be. We decided to rethink our core gameplay entirely, now the game would be about the player following rhythmical actions instead of moving freely in a musical environment. It would also become an auto-scrolling game now.
• The slow down/speed up mechanic was also scratched.
• Some bugs were also reported and noted to be fixed, such as tempo related bugs and controller bugs.
